Hello there! I hope you all are as excited to see this post as I am to be finally writing it up! This Survey, as soon as all of the bumps were smoothed away, turned out to be a huge success in finding out exactly what we girls needed to know to grow in our blogging practices! As writers, managers, and creatives behind this blog, we definitely want to put up the best kind of content that will inspire, encourage, and uplift each one of you! Your contribution to this survey was vitally important to help us girls pin-point the greatest loves and needs you all have when you come to our site, and so we want to say: Thank you!
Now on to the survey results!…
The first two questions up above were really the questions that prompted us to put together a survey in the first place. In our work week, we like to stick to a very rigid blogging schedule–especially when it comes to publishing a post–as much as possible; but that was a schedule we set up on our own, not knowing when you all looked at our posts. So now that we know the majority of you look at our blog at night, or whenever we publish a post (a lot of you wrote that in for “Other”), we don’t have to be so super strict about making sure a post gets published before “this certain hour”, but rather just making sure that it gets published on the scheduled day. For us girls, putting unneeded tensions on your blogging life can end up being restricting sometimes, so this was a huge stress reliever to find out that, no, not everyone is sitting around looking at their devices at a particular hour waiting for your post to be published. But this doesn’t mean we will begin to publish our posts at ten ‘o clock at night on the set day! I prefer to write my posts up in the late morning, and so do the girls, so you will see us continue to publish around the middle of the day.
This was super intriguing to us. We had a suspicion that not a lot of our followers were using Twitter to follow us, so we are going to quit using that platform to promote our blog. But Pinterest! We had no idea Pinterest was still going as strong as it is! We will be sure to up our game on that platform from now on! And as for good ol’ Youtube, we are very excited to begin a new chapter in this blogging journey, for as soon as Brigi has moved away after the wedding to begin her married life with Gabriel, Charlotte and I will begin to work on more videos, vlogs, and updates in general on Youtube. And thank you all for suggesting that we post more on Instagram! You are so right! You will definitely see more updates on our lives on that platform from now on!
Again, this poll mystified us greatly. We had no idea that so many of you use other means to follow our blog besides our favorite: Bloglovin’! And that’s the beauty of a survey, we gain a better understanding of who our blog readers are, and what suits them best. But uh, out of curiosity, what’s so bad about using Bloglovin’?
Thank you! We really weren’t planning on changing much of anything with how often we write up a post on a certain topic, but we’re glad to know that you all aren’t wishing we would change to something different.
I’m sorry, but I just have to giggle at this one. 😉 We had suspicions that there were a few gentleman out there who read our blog, one of them we know for sure is Gabriel, but there are a couple more it seems. We knew from the beginning of our blogging journey that we would get all kinds of different people reading our blog, and we are perfectly okay with that. It is our hope that all of our readers continue to enjoy the posts we publish on our site.
All of these are so interesting, aren’t they! You don’t know what your fellow readers might say! They might just agree with you, or prefer something else! That’s why it is so fun to review a survey: you get to see what others are saying, too! We aren’t making any promises with this one, but it is our hope that we will be able to hook up with some awesome partners in the near future.
We couldn’t be more happy with this response! We already knew that the heart of this blog doesn’t beat on the blood of Reviews and Giveaways, and though we absolutely love our advertisers (you all are some of the best people we have worked with!), they are not the reason why you keep coming around to our blog. Thus, we will continue to keep our Reviews and Giveaways to once a month. Thank you all for giving us such a clear answer to this question.
“Wow!” Is the response we three let out when we saw how close this poll was! Its neck n’ neck, people! Having only relied on guest bloggers to help us out during the times when we had to be absent from the blog, we aren’t in the practice of contacting other bloggers to guest post on our site. That doesn’t mean we don’t like the idea–far from it. It will just take a bit of time to incorporate others into our blogging schedule if we chose to go that route.
Thank you all again so much for answering our survey questions! And thank you to those who took the time to write in their responses when our list didn’t match up with what you wanted to say. I want you to know that we girls set aside a good hour to read through all of those comments, and we had a lot of fun! Everything you said has been documented, and is in safe keeping for us to go back and read. You all had some great ideas and tips, and we’re so thankful for your honest critiques. If we didn’t have critiques we would not be able to grow and change. Kudos to you all!
What did you think of the responses?
Should we do more blog surveys?
