Hello my dears! Isn’t it lovely when you can do things spur of the moment, and they turn out perfectly? The timing may not be spot on (hello looming rain clouds), your face might not be perfect in all of the shots (yay! blooper material!), but you get a real, raw snapshot of the serendipity of everyday life. That is what occurred with today’s sister flair.
All three of us girls just so happened to wear our Garlands of Grace Cecily’s Chiffon head wraps on the same day, and we decided that it would be a crime to not take some pictures for a Sister Flair, with such a serendipitous occurrence. This is who we are on ordinary days. Nothing special, nothing added, everything raw and ordinary.
Oh, don’t you love candid shots? Charlotte was telling me to be more involved in the picture, by leaning on her or something, so I decided to go all the way, and actually lean on her in the photo above. Obviously Jessica thought we both were a little bit silly. 😉
Part of ordinary days are the everyday styles that make each of us feel comfortable. Jessica loves her t-shirt and skirt combinations. Charlotte adores putting together the most vibrant and eclectic of ensembles. And I, well, I like plain and simple tailored outfits that don’t require too many accessories to make them complete, which is why I appreciate having such a perfectly lovely head wrap as the Chiffon Cecily from Garlands of Grace to finish off an ensemble.
What Jessica is wearing: T-shirt dress-Target / Skirt: Me-made / Belt: Thrifted / Cecily’s Chiffon Head wrap in Gardenias in Periwinkle: c/o Garlands of Grace
What Charlotte is wearing: Blouse: Hand-me-down / Linden Lady Palazzo Pants: Made by Charlotte / Cecily’s Chiffon Head wrap in Garden Party in Aqua: c/o Garlands of Grace
What Brigid is wearing: Blouse: Thrifted / Skirt: Me-made / Cecily’s Chiffon Head wrap in Forget-me-nots in Silver: c/o Garlands of Grace
Velvet!!! I love velvet, and I just adore how Garlands of Grace uses the velvet ribbon so cleverly in the Cecily’s Chiffon head wrap as a grip to help it stay on your head. It really is a genius idea. And it adds that perfect touch of luxury (as if chiffon isn’t already luxurious enough!).
Do you know the best thing about ordinary days? You can almost always find something to make them special, like a photoshoot on a lovely Summer evening with your sisters.
