Aaaall a-BOARD for Linden, Tennessee! That’s right, dears, in a little more than a month we will be heading down to good ol’ Tennessee to participate in the 2nd Remembering WWII event, held, like last year, in the darling little town of Linden. If you recall, last year’s event was quite a big shebang, and we are super duper excited to be going back down to meet up with good friends, meet, talk to, and sing for the Veterans of WWII and the general public, and of course enjoy all of the activities that the event has to offer.
We put together some posts last year on our time down in Linden TN, to give you all an idea of what our experience was like being a part of the Remembering WWII event.
If you have not yet been to Remembering WWII, please do highly consider going! There is so much history that will be surrounding the whole entire event! Singing the Swing Tunes is a major part of what we will be providing at the the function. Needless to say this is one of the greatest pleasures we have all year long out of any of our gigs–to sing for an audience who is actively working to remember and honor our heritage the Lord has given to our Country! The tunes themselves help the Veterans to remember certain occasions and experiences they went through during the war years, and to see the recollection light up their faces never ceases to bring our hearts joy.
So please come to Linden, Tennessee for the weekend of September 25th! We want to see all your bright, lovely faces, and perhaps meet some new ones!
Will we be able to see you for Remembering WWII this year?
For those of you who attended last year, what was your fondest memory?
Hope to see you soon!
Jessica, for The Boyer Sisters
P.S. Tomorrow is the BIG DAY at the Cincinnati History Museum, and currently, Charlotte and I are fighting off colds 🙁 Please lift us up in your prayers today and tomorrow, and most especially for our morning performance. We will need all the blessing of healing we can get. So far we are in “good voice”, but there is still quality that is lacking. Please pray that we will be healed, and that we will be able to do a good job tomorrow. Thank you, dears, so much! 🙂
