Hello dearies! Wow, it feels weird posting a Classy On Sunday. So much has happened since I last posted one of these fashion posts! My sister turned a year older, I turned a year older, and Summer is finally here in full force. It’s amazing how seasons change, and though you think things will always be the same, somehow, ever so gradually, your life changes, rearranges, and before you know it, it is a year hence and you look back and think to yourself about how much your life has altered its course. So much has happened in the past year. Can you tell I’ve been reflecting on that a lot? 🙂 Well, let’s move on to my outfit, and I’ll talk about life later.
This “shepherd’s check” skirt has sat in my wardrobe for four years now, but I never had anything in my wardrobe that went perfectly with it. You would think that black and white would be easy to combine with anything, but believe me this skirt is an exception. I suppose it is the busy pattern. Then I received this 1930s Parrot Brooch in the mail from Chronically Vintage. At first I thought to myself, “now what in the world am I going to wear this with?” But then it turned out to be just the piece that I needed to tie together my lonely skirt and this delightful blue blouse! Isn’t it amazing how just one accessory can change your whole look?

So. Change. I was talking about it earlier, wasn’t I? Somehow I feel like just a year ago I was 4 years younger, not just one year. The Lord has stretched me in so many new ways, and yet I also feel as though I am still so immature and naive. But, wisdom will come with time as I grow in the knowledge of my Lord and Savior. Change has come, and yet everything seems to be the same as it has always been. Change will come, and life will transform into a state it has yet to be. We can be worried, and anxious, yes, but you must remember this: You are SO tremendously loved!
“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in Him.” 1 John 4:16
