Happy Saturday dearies! Today we’re veering from our usual Classy On Sunday post for a very special reason. If you follow Meadow & Fawn (formerly A Pocket of Whimsy) on Facebook, you will know that her shop on Etsy closed down in early April, and she had to work on finishing her own e-commerce site to sell her delightful creations. Well, today is the grand opening of Meadow & Fawn’s new website! And in honor of this special occasion, we girls have not only a review of some of Meadow & Fawn‘s newest products, her adorable Animal Figurines, but also a giveaway for one of you to win a figurine of your choice! So now, without further ado, let me introduce to you…
Felicity the Hare
Felicity is the little Hare that Charlotte chose for her figurine. Hand-painted with the most delicate of ferns and flowers, Felicity makes for a lovely addition to Charlotte’s room decor. It’s hard calling these little critters “products” as they each have their own character that Alexis, the creator of Meadow & Fawn, has put into each and everyone. Each of our figurines came with their own little name tags, which added so much delight and whimsy to the packaging.
Arya the Bard Owl
Arya, the Bard owl, was a custom creation by Alexis per request of Jessica. Jessica has always loved birds of prey, Bard owls being one of her favorites from the owl family. After sending Alexis a few pictures of Bard owls, Jessica waited patiently until our figurines were completed and had arrived on our doorstep. Lo and behold when she opened her figurine’s box, there was little Arya, the perfect miniature Bard owl. You can see the amazing detail and artistry that Alexis put into each brush-stroke and layering of colors and texture, making for a realistic miniature.
Hugo the Hedgehog
Ah yes, my little Hugo! Hugo the hedgehog (don’t you just love that name?) is my little sewing companion. If I’m working on a big project I set him on the bookshelf above my sewing machine to keep him out of harm’s way. Just yesterday, however, I started setting him on top of, or next to my sewing machine, for when I’m working on smaller projects. Seeing Hugo sitting there reminds me to smile, even when I’m frustrated with a project. How could you not smile seeing the cuteness that is a hedgehog? Hugo reminds me so much of everything I loved from Beatrix Potter’s Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, from his little black eyes, to his perfectly detailed “prickles”, to his perfectly cunning little nose. Thank you Meadow & Fawn!
Now for the Giveaway!!! Meadow & Fawn is giving away a custom animal figurine to one of you! Yes, you choose any animal (not just the ones that are for sale on Meadow & Fawn’s website), and Alexis will make it for you! The giveaway is open internationally, and runs from today, Saturday May 9th, to Midnight E.S.T, Saturday, May 16th.
