Hello dears! Well, it appears that we have what most would call a busy weekend: yesterday we girls had the incredible privilege of meeting up with the Pokone Sisters from Bramblewood Fashion (but more on that later 😉 ), today we are going to a Patriot Freedom Festival, and then tomorrow we are going to a friend’s house after church for a pool party! Whoo… it’s going to be a long one!

I have a soft spot for laid-back, easy breezy outfits that you don’t really have to fuss with to make them look good. Loose blouses, effortless maxi skirts, and simple jewelry. Yes, that is an outfit I would wear any day. Although, it is easy to look more frumpy than effortless with a silhouette like the one I’m sporting. But the flattering pleats and lightweight material of the blouse hangs perfectly, and the slimming shape of the skirt really complements and contrasts my shirt’s more boxy cut.
I decided to finish off my feminine ensemble with more edgy accessories, including my black accented earrings and bold shoes.
Which do you prefer: laid-back silhouettes or a more tailored cut?
What are you doing for Memorial Weekend?
