Hello friends! At this point in time, we girls are down in Mobile, AL aboard the USS Alabama singing our hearts out! But thanks to the magical power of post-scheduling, I’m here to fulfill my promise and share with you the outfits we girls sported Easter Sunday! 🙂 As is the typical question, our friends would ask what we are doing for Easter this year. Um… Eat? Typically we are privileged to have a family over to celebrate and feast with after Church, but this year our schedule was so full, we couldn’t manage such a pleasure. So, eating was the big thing that day. Fun right? 😉 But, Jessica’s blueberry pie and Mom’s scrumptious feast of ham, scalloped potatoes, asparagus, and homemade rolls was nothing to thumb one’s nose at!
Every Easter we girls usually make or score ourselves a new dress or ensemble for the holiday, but this year (once again), singing got the best of our schedule. Thus, we girls decided to “make do and mend”; Brigid and I by pulling out our favorite S/S dresses and pairing them with new accessories (B’s Swedish Hasbeens get extra points! They make any outfit instantly feminine and photogenic!), Jessica by putting together her new polka-dot blouse with an old blue skirt of mine. Ever heard of hand-me-ups? Yeah… that’s been going on a lot in my closet. I, the youngest, am now pretty much the biggest in size; so Jessica and I have flipped the childhood tradition of youngest getting the oldest’s clothes. Ahem.
Anyhow! In all of the busyness of our schedule, we girls were able to pull together some lovely ensembles that look quite a bit like vintage easter eggs, if you ask me. Although, I probably have the least resemblance to such a decoration, what with my black contrasting elements giving quite an edgy effect… 😐
