Hello lovelies! Ah, it’s so good to be back to blogging 🙂 These past few days have been so full and hectic, with unexpected events coming up here and there that entirely prevented us from being able to post along our usual schedule. But, I know that the Lord has everything in His hands, and I am happy to finally be back for the weekend, at least!
Also, can I say how excited I am that there is FINALLY SOME GREEN in these photos?! Now, granted these photos were taken down south about 45 minutes, BUT STILL! I am so so SO ready for the lush green of trees and living plants, and the vibrant hues of summer flowers and all the rest 🙂 Oh the joy!

Can I talk about these shoes for a minute? I have a feeling that they are going to be my go-to’s for this Summer. I mean, come on, yellow shoes that are platforms AND peep-toes? Perfection. They really make you feel like you’re walkin’ on sunshine 😉 And they have such an adorable 70s feel to them, I couldn’t resist styling my outfit around that era. Also, maxi skirts and platform shoes make you feel really, really tall. Like, really tall.
It was quite interesting attempting to take these photos. We girls had a grand scheme of going to this lovely little area near our Church which would be simply ideal for a photo shoot: a cobble stone sidewalk covered in curved shrubbery sprinkled with lovely little green leaves. However, rain and some creepy lookin’ dudes *ahem* scared us away, and since we had a friend or two in tow watching us take the photos, we thought it would be best to go to a locale closer to the Church. Thankfully we had a couple of umbrellas to shield our Sunday best & my beloved camera from the unwelcome “April Showers”. Our lovely pal, Honor, was sweet enough to be “photographer’s assistant” and hold one of the umbrellas over Brigid as she took these photos, and was quite the comedian crying out that “That’s NOT photogenic!”, and getting me to laugh. 😉
Thanks for checking in today! I also wanted to let you all know that we are guest posting over at the lovely Emileigh’s blog: Flashback Summer! For more on that, click here.
Has spring sprung where you’re at?
