Hello hello! Thanks to our wonderful advertiser, Garlands of Grace, we three are now in possession of some trés chic head bands! Traditionally these accessories are considered head coverings, which for some Christian girls and women alike show forth their family’s interpretation of 1 Corinthians 11:3-15, in that they believe they are to cover their heads when praying or prophesying. Though our family does not interpret this Scripture in the same way, I do want to say that we greatly respect our sisters’ desires to obey the Lord in this matter. No matter what your belief, Garlands of Grace sells these lovely accessories to all who are interested, and we hope to intrigue and inspire you, our readers, to check out their website, once you are through reading here.
We three thought it was high time for another one of our Sister Flair posts, and so we came up with some smashing styles to complement the color themes of our head bands. The sun was out the day we took the photos, and so this really got Charlotte, alright I’ll be honest, all three of us in a great mood! Sometimes those Winter clouds can really muck up your day. Am I right, or am I right?
Ready for a closer look?
First off, can I just say that we are in love with how well the girls of Garlands of Grace do-up their packaging? It is absolutely adorable, no spoonable, no… perhaps the word winsome captures the ora of this pretty sight. However and whatever you deem as the best description, one thing is for certain, Garlands of Grace knows how to put a smile on your face! The light of Christ truly shows in all of their perfect handiwork.
Jessica’s Outfit // Garlands of Grace headband: Fuchsia Fall Tour // Turtleneck: Khol’s // Blouse: Thrifted // Skirt: H&M // Stockings: Target // Boots: Bear Traps (DSW) // Earrings: Claire’s
Why I love my headband: I love best how light the cotton fabric is, and perhaps how subtle the print and color combinations are. The style too is just perfect. It can be pulled apart on top to create a kerchief look, or it can be scrunched up as I wore it here. It even keeps my ears warm! Haha!
Brigi’s Outfit // Garlands of Grace headband: Rose Rosette // T-shirt: Target // Sweater: Made-by-her // Skirt: Made-by-her // Petticoat: Made-by-her // Stockings: Target // Shoes: DSW // Necklace: ForeverXXI
Why Brigi loves her headband: Perhaps her most favorite feature of the accessory is the hook and eye closure underneath the rosette. She says that it really helps keep her hair in perfect curliness when she doesn’t have to pull a headband down over her head. Garlands of Grace really thought ahead on this one! She also loves the knit’s perfect lightness in weight, making it so comfortable to wear all day long.
Charlotte’s Outfit // Garlands of Grace headband: Berry Twist // Blouse: Boden via ThredUp // Skirt: Thrifted (vintage) // Stockings: Target // Clogs: Hannah Anderson // Earrings: Charming Charlies
Why Charlotte loves her headband: Charlotte is thrilled with how comfortable the twist style is, and better yet, how vintage it looks. The fuchsia color adds a lovely pop of color to her wardrobe, and wouldn’t yah know it, it matched the fuchsia flower centers on her blouse! Perfection to say the least!
Take a good look at those photos above and let’s see if you can find a similarity in color between the headbands… Did you find it yet? Bingo! The fuchsia color is the exact same in both Charlotte’s twist and my floral scrunch! We didn’t even know that what we ordered would go together! Sisters are the best things that ever happened to me I think…! 🙂
What is your favorite Garlands of Grace headband?
Do you believe that 1 Corinthians 11:3-15 calls us to wear head coverings when in prayer?
Much love and blessings in Christ,
