Hello dearies! Today certainly looks promising, though for whatever reason I can’t seem to get the joyful jive going in me. Perhaps it’s the snow outside, and the dreariness of the weather. I don’t know. But I guess everyday can’t be like the one in which I wore this cheerful outfit!
I wore this ensemble the Sunday after Valentine’s Day. It’s not very often I get to “dress up” for a Holiday (I rarely have the right colors to do so, and you know, it’s sometimes fun to dress up even if you don’t really celebrate the holiday itself), but this Sunday was the first time that I had all the right pieces in my closet to put together a Valentine’s inspired outfit. I love pairing together my atomic printed blouse with this red skirt, but both pieces are meant for such opposite seasons, that rarely is there a Sunday with the perfect weather for me to wear them together. But this Sunday, I braved the weather, put on my beads and earrings, and felt like a cheery 1940’s valentine, made up of Lavender and Hearts.

It looks like snow tonight, and ice tomorrow morning, so the pessimist inside me says we probably won’t be going to Church. But, Oh, I hope I am wrong! Sunday just doesn’t feel the same without fellowship with the Lord’s good people, singing hymns to Him with dozens of other voices, and hearing the preaching of His Word.
Is it snowing where you live?
Have you ever “dressed up” for a Holiday (excluding Halloween)?
Have you had to miss Church due to bad weather recently too?
