Hello! I have been itching to do another makeup tutorial since my last one, so here I am! I am thrilled to share a new favorite that I came up with the other day: a 1960s everyday makeup look! I have been pretty enamored with the bold cat-eyes that so many girls effortlessly sport these days, but every time I would try it, the bold black sweep just didn’t look right with my olive skin-tone. Enter my brown eyebrow & eye liner! I tried out a subtle, slight cat-eye with that, and bingo! We have a winner 😀
The best part about this look is that it’s super low-key, can go with just about any outfit, and you don’t have to worry about the infamous black liquid liner getting smudged all over the place like with the classic cat-eye. I was predominately inspired by the image from Brigid’s 1957 Harper’s Bazaar (below) for this look, and think I did a pretty good job recreating it on a more every-day level:
Anyhow, watch the video below on how I did it, and let me know if you plan to/have tried it out in the comments! And don’t hesitate to use the sliding share buttons below if you are so inclined 🙂
