Hello lovelies! Today we are all in a whirl preparing for a big gig we girls have tonight, and our even bigger trip this next week to National Bible Bee. If you haven’t already heard, our family is volunteering for the third time in a row at NBB, and this time it’s in Orlando, Florida. Which, by the way, is 18+ hours away from us and BB headquarters. So all of us volunteers are taking a 2-day trip on a charter bus down… which our whole family is rather excited for/dreading… I seriously think we live one of the most excited/peaceful/wonderful lives a family of mostly girls could. As the old saying goes, “Adventure is Out There!” 😀
When ever-so-often I am bored enough to browse my feed on Pinterest (wow, did I really just say that?!), I am consistently pounded with “wanderlust” quotes and photos, etc. etc. Is it just me, or has this trend been on a rampage lately? I mostly roll my eyes and look on when I come across this type of media, but lately I have been straying away from “Bloom[ing] where You’re Planted”, and been seeking the novel cultures and sights of other states, countries, occupations, etc. Being the type of girl who gets discontent easily, I guess I should have seen it coming. Often times it’s hard to understand why God placed us where He has, but honestly, you’re life is more adventurous than it seems. Believe it or not, I get tired fast of our girl’s singing career. I want to travel to Arizona and photograph the Grand Canyon or fly to London and experience the refined British culture, or spend my days as a full-time photographer, or just do something other than what I am doing. But then, I take a step back and realize that my life is more adventurous than I thought it was. I mean, performing at an old Opera House right before taking a charter bus down to Orlando, FL for a volunteer job? Or even photographing outfits, hair tutorials, and designing photoshop actions and websites… How is that not exciting, adventurous, or whatever you want to call it? God has me and my family where we are for a reason, and that’s the same for you too. However cheesy it may sound, bloom where you’re planted. I am struggling right along with you, so we’re in this journey together 😀
Well, I have two more posts to write up and schedule for next week while we are away, so I’d better get cracking!
