Hello all! Today I am very excited to bring you a review of Parallel Face & Body’s tinted lip balms! I love the look of tinted lip balms, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when Parallel Face & Body consented to my idea of collaborating and bringing a product review to you all!
We girls are big on supporting small businesses, so I was super pumped to partner up with Parallel Face & Body! The company is made up of a sister duo (go sisters!) who have collaborated together because of their love of creating products to make you feel beautiful.
They manufacture all of their products by hand, and you can tell right away: the balms are uneven at the top, which can be a little challenging when applying. But that’s the essence of handmade, am I right? Nothing is ever perfect! The lip balms are crafted with so many fabulous ingredients such as Mango Seed Butter, Jojoba Oil, Orange Essential Oil, and others. My only quibble would be the pigment ingredients and Titanium Dioxide. Though I know that with cosmetic products, amounts of those are usually very small, so no biggy π
I was hugely impressed by Parallel Face & Body’s packaging when I opened up the envelope: so classy and chic! I love a company that pays attention to the small details like unique packaging, and making the customers overall experience pleasant. It makes all the difference in the world! They sent me something very similar to the Multi Color Combo Pack (instead of the Nude Attitude and Posh Pink I received “Hot Coral” and their colorless balm called “Sweet Moisture”), which offers a huge variety of colors, from nude to dark plum to bright red, and all the shades in between. An amazingly practical pack that will take you from a day around the house to a dinner out or a performance (in our girls’ case ;).
All of Parallel F&B’s lip balms have certain attributes in common: they have a very shiny finish, (which I love!), and going on they are very smooth and melt a little. They have a gorgeously strong orange scent that is simply lovely, and they are all long-lasting in the moisture & color department.
The 8 delightful tints of balm they sent me are as follows: Sweet Moisture, Sweet Peach, Hot Coral, Dayum Red!, Blushing Pink, Charming Rose, Spicy Berry, and Wild Berry. I have shared my thoughts on each of these shades below:
Sweet Moisture is just a colorless balm handy for those makeup-less days when your lips need a little help. The moisture that it provides your lips is very long-lasting. I have been applying this balm every night before bed, and I love the effect!
Sweet Peach is a very, very subtle nude color that, on my lips, you almost can’t see. I personally am not too sold on the idea of such a lightly-tinted, neutral balm as this on me. My lips are naturally rather red, so the color doesn’t come though very well.
Hot Coral is one of my top favorites out of the tinted balms! The first day I wore it, it lasted for several hours. I would look in the mirror every so often, and there it was, almost as vivid as when I first applied it! It provides such a subtle pop of color that I would totally pair with my everyday makeup routine.
For those ladies out their that are afraid of red lipstick, but love the look of it, then the Dayum Red! balm is for you! The color is SO bright and vibrant, and it gives you a moisturizing, easy alternative to the typical full-on lipstick. Something that I really love about tinted lip balms is how the color is really customized to your skin tone when you apply it. Because of its sheer formula, your lips’ natural color comes through and contributes greatly to the shade of the balm. That is just the case with this balm, and because of that there is no trying-to-match-my-skin-tone trickiness that usually comes along when shopping for the perfect red lip product.
Like Sweet Peach, this lip balm’s tint was a little on the disappointing side for me. I was really wanting the light pink shade to work, but because of my lips’ natural vibrance, it didn’t really come though as much as I would like. However, the formula was just as moisturizing as usual, and it did provide a very subtle pinkness to my lips.
Charming Rose is just what its name describes: charming! The color is wonderfully pigmented, and the subdued shade lends itself perfectly for Autumn and Winter fashions.
Spicy Berry ranks itself with Dayum Red! as far as vibrance goes. It is so gorgeously bright, and I love the more pinky/plumy shade.
Wild Berry is the darkest shade out of all the tinted lip balms. It provides such a lovely color that would be perfect for all seasons. I can see this balm being worn to Church, performance, or when I want something extra for my everyday makeup routine.
Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with Parallel Face & Body. I would give them a 4 out of 5, since two of the balms didn’t really work for me because of their light shade.
Thanks so much Amber and Stacy, for letting me review your fabulous products! Be sure to check them out on Etsy, Facebook, and Instagram (@parallelfacebody)!

These lip shades sound lovely. π I hadn’t ever heard of them before.
Thanks for sharing your review with us!
Aw, thanks Ali π I just wet and scrunch it with gel in the morning, and it decides if it wants to pin-curl or look like an 80’s rockstar… preferably not the former ;P

This was so neat! I’ve been loving my EOS balm, but the thing I’ve been missing about my old Chapstick was the color, since it added just the right amount of enhancement without being, well, lipstick. π My favorites would be Dayum Red and Spicy Berry.
Dearest Hannah! Thanks for commenting π
I’m glad that I might have helped you to find an answer to your dilemma! Tinted lip balms are, well, de balm π
And those two that you said are your favorite are also my favorite! Especially Dayum Red! π

These are all very nice on you. I like how sheer they are except I like a bit less sheer red. The charming rose is my favorite of these.
