Happy Saturday! I have a sweet, dainty outfit to share with you today that channels that well known slogan “Think Pink!” from the classic film: “Funny Face”. When I decided to pair a vintage-inspired floral & lace dress that I had fashioned (see how I styled it again here) with my pink lipstick, I knew I had a sure-fire winner of an outfit.
I don’t know about you, but things like makeup, particularly lipstick, can really inspire me when I am coming up with an outfit. Like a nude-tinted lip balm with a nautical/60’s ensemble, or a bright orange lip with a neutral outfit. It’s so fun to experiment in the many mediums of fashion! What about you: what inspires you when you are creating an outfit?
Dare I say that this dress is yet another 1958 Party Dress made from Sense & Sensibility’s pattern?! My last post featured a dress from the same pattern, and this post and this post featured two more versions… so yes, I am rather obsessed and not in the least bit interesting with my sewing decisions 😉 A few Autumn versions are definitely going to be sneaking into my wardrobe once the weather starts turning, too 🙂
At lunch today, Mom and we girls are going to be meeting up with the delightful Alison of Alison Faith Photography and her mom. We are so excited, as this is our first “Blogger Meet-up”! We will first be having a delightful picnic lunch in a park, then will tour around in a town that is simply stocked to the brim with antique and vintage shops. It’s bound to be fun! We will update you later on how it went, as at least two people from either party are rather snap-happy 😉
And on account of the post title, I simply had to include the YouTube video of the song: “Think Pink”!
