Oh goody! Dresses, bling, and high heels is what we have in store for you all today! Not to mention that we have officially graduated into the realm of being professional fashion bloggers. Why? Read below!
For our newer readers, we are, left to right: Jessica, Charlotte, Brigid.
A few weekends ago we went to the wedding of our Pastor’s son and his gal in Kalamazoo. All of us girls decided to wear our most summery fancy dresses, which resulted in the outfits you see us wearing here. Why I say we have “graduated” into being professional fashion bloggers is because these pictures were taken (by our lovely Mom) in front of the Econolodge hotel we stayed at. An Econolodge people!!! The epitome of class and sophistication in Hotels… Not!* He he he…
Anyways, about what we wore.
Jessica: “From the get go, I picked out this heavenly dress from Eshakti specifically for this wedding. I wanted to exude Summer light, white cotton, with a hint of floral, and that is just was I found! As for my hair, I have been playing with pin curls, and I find that they gave a lovely 40’s meets 50’s vibe to my ensemble. (What a mix!) I used the beautiful bobby pins from Lilla Rose to tuck up one side and, my! Just the perfect touch! My leather retro heals gave grace and elegance to the whole look, and were the perfect treads for dancing later on at the reception!”
Charlotte: “I wanted to be light, feminine, and retro for the wedding, so I paired my strawberry ice-cream pink floral frock with a fresh, simple makeup look. The Lilla Rose hair band worked fabulously as a practical and comfortable accessory that added just the right amount of bling to my locks. Buckle-on some lightweight, wooden clog-like sandals, and I was good to go!”
Brigid: “I decided to wear my light and flow-y J. Crew voile dress, since it was perfect for a summer wedding. Originally I wasn’t planning on wearing these round earrings, but I wore them on the drive up, and they paired so well with the Flexi clip that I wore, that I just decided to keep them on. The finishing touch was a pair of summer wedges, and the new lipstick Charlotte gave me for my birthday.”

The wedding was lovely! When the bride (Lydia) entered the sanctuary, two trumpeters played a short melody, the name of which I can’t recall. It was some very regal tune, which made for quite a royal entrance. We girls had the privilege of singing a personalized version of “I’ve Got A Gal in Kalamazoo” for Dan and Lydia at the reception. It was a lovely evening over all, and we wish the best to Dan and Lydia and their future life together.
