Hello one and all!
Today is going to be short and sweet… something I am not known for, and do not particularly like to do (as I think you all are well aware, ha ha!). So without further ado, and before I run out with the girls for an afternoon of errands, let me tell you about this pretty little outfit of mine!
Sometimes you wake up on Sunday mornings wanting only to throw something on and have it look elegant without putting much effort into it; this was one of those Sundays. I had decided to curl my short locks the night before in sponge rollers (something I have been doing a lot lately for Sundays and am thoroughly enjoying), and leave the outfit deciding for the morning. Well, I woke up, and my first thought was, “What would go with bouncy curls?” My Regency-meets-70’s dress! I undid my hair from its confinement, ran my fingers through the tight twists of hair until they relaxed a bit, and then using Brigi’s embroidered silk scarf, I tied it up and pinned it in place. Tada! Regency at its most modern finest!
The shoes I picked out finished the look with their sophisticated pointed toes and nude coloring. I wanted very much to keep things simple and not call a great deal of attention to myself (something I have made as a standard goal to do every Lords Day), thus one way to pull this off was by not adding any jewelry. Honestly, I could care less if I wear jewelry anyhow, so this was not a hard decision. 🙂 All in all, I believe this is one of my simplest Sunday Best choices in my whole closet!
