Hello my friends!
How has your week been so far? I have to say, for me, life has been flying by much, much too fast. The days are blurring together and I wish to goodness that it would slow down a little soon so that I can have a chance to catch up! But more to the point, I have some special items to share with you from our two wonderful advertisers: Lilla Rose, and our newest, A Pocket of Whimsy! After that, I will be sharing with you my newest thrift store find. Lets take a look!
1// At present, this adorable Silver Plated Boat Hat Necklace has become the apple of Charlotte’s eye due to it’s simplicity, and classiness. That girl does have a soft spot for nautical, and that pretty much sums up why she picked it out! 😉
3// Up, up and away, sailing around the little stars in the sky you would find Brigi’s dreams of owning this most delightful little Hot Air Ballon Locket. She loves treasure like this, and I know some of you would too!
6// I have chosen the Ross London – Working Compass necklace as my most favorite item from A Pocket of Whimsey. Why? Why else but to actually have a real, vintage compass of my very own! It works too! Oh the day…
2// For a long time now I have been admiring this pair of Music Lover bobby pins, and I can’t really think why… oh yeah! Singing! I can’t help but think how iconic they would look in my hair when I am on stage performing with the girls. Order up of three pairs, please!
4// Brigi is currently loving the extra small Brilliant Bluem flexi because she knows it would stand out beautifully up against her brown locks. Not to mention that it would add just the right touch of summery-ness.
5// Charlotte once again has chosen the Lovely Pearls hair band from Lilla Rose, because it incessantly reminds her of the glamorous Grace Kelly, and she would recreate her elegant style in a heartbeat with such an accessory.

And now for my new outfit… Ta da!
Yikes! I know! Shorts!!! Did you ever think you would find me stepping out in shorts? I certainly never thought the day would come. I didn’t want it to. But not long after Charlotte bought her pair (no she hasn’t shown them yet) I got up the courage and tried on a whole pile of them at GoodWill. I wasn’t even planning on buying anything! And then, I had the thought, I found the nerve, and zipped up the first pair. Oh! Hey… They don’t look half bad! This pair I am sporting below and above was one of the first I tried on, and they got my approval not only for their length, but they had a vintage flair to them too! Score! I still hadn’t got past the last and final approver–Dad. Hmm. What would he think? Mom liked them. The girls liked them. But I still was not comfortable until I tried them on again at home, and asked his opinion. “Yep. I like them.” What? Really? Okay… But he meant it. And if he likes them, then I feel as if I could wear them anywhere and not be self conscious.
Now, granted, I still don’t think I will wear them around guys from our Church, just because I don’t want to make them stumble in any way. Especially since none of them have ever seen me in shorts, let alone a pair of jeans. I don’t know what you ladies will say about my modesty standard regarding this attire, but I know that so long as my family is comfortable with my wearing them, then I am too.
