Hello there! How’s your day going? Mine has been exhausting so far… though it doesn’t help that we were out late seeing friends last night, only to wake up to a day full of yard-work. Yick! At least I don’t hate it as much as I used to, and weeding is actually starting to become back-breakingly
exhausting relaxing. Never thought that would happen! Oh, wait, what am I rambling on about? I should be talking about my outfit!
Yes, yes, I know I’ve worn this dress on the blog before. For you newer readers, you can see those posts here, here and here. But, what can I say, this dress is an old favorite! Not to mention it’s made from one of our favorite patterns, Sense & Sensibility’s 1940’s Swing dress pattern, a review of which I did here.
It’s always amazing to me how life changes from year to year. Struggles grow harder, easier, or just disappear altogether; new struggles arise, only to bring us closer to Him; exciting events take place, and then seem to be a year away after only another week’s toils and joys. So many things that I intend to write down and record for future generations that remain still in my head, hopefully one day to be resurrected from the files of my struggling memory. But, it’s a good thing that the present continues to zoom past, and we can’t remember everything, because if we did, not only would we remember all the good parts, but we would remember all the ugly and fearful parts that we would much rather forget. Thankfully, time moves on, we remember, and we forget, only to make new memories to remember and forget. God knows how to work all things out for our good.
