Good day to you dearies! I hope you all are having a relaxing Saturday. I know some of you are probably working hard finishing up school, and yet others of you, like me, have already finished and are gearing up for summer vacation, or in my case, Graduation! I cannot wait for graduation to be here! It’s exactly a week from today! Oh, excuse me, I’m getting rather carried away aren’t I? I should be talking about this outfit I wore last Sunday for Church, right? Right! Moving on!
The weather was just cold enough, and yet just perfectly warm to wear this midseason outfit, without me sweltering or shivering too much. My outfit was actually inspired by a pic I saw on Pinterest (I’ll talk more about that later), and I had been dying to wear it before Summer came along with it’s heat and humidity.
Oh, and I almost forgot, tomorrow is Mother’s day! Our Mom does so much for us girls. To be honest, this little blog wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for her starting it years ago, and her amazing encouragement when we girls took it over a few years ago. So thank you Mom for everything you do for us girls, from pulling us up when we are down, to intervening in our arguments and being the peacemaker.
So, below you can see the outfit I was inspired by. Positively perfect, no? As soon as I saw it I thought: “Oh, perfection! I have the exact pieces to recreate that!” How do you think I did? Close enough? I love the addition of the brooch, even though it wasn’t in the inspiration picture. When I put my outfit together on Sunday morning, I looked at it and thought, “Hmmm, I need some sort of flower somewhere.” I had never put a brooch on a waistband of any of my skirts before, but it ended up adding just the right touch!
As I said at the beginning of this post, Graduation is coming up, but for some reason I’m not stressed… yet! Or are those nervous butterflies I feel coming on? I know everything will come together splendidly in the next week, and until Monday, I am going to completely forget about the whole affair, and just focus on the party we have to go to tonight, and the Lord’s day tomorrow. What a blessing the Sabbath is! No work to do, except those acts of necessity. A day where we can lay aside our cares and woes and focus on Him and Him alone. Praise God for his mercy and grace to us His children!
