There are good days and bad days when it comes to picking out an outfit. When you have a good day, you want to wear a smile (like mine above) all over the house, wherever you go, and use it to greet everyone you meet! Then there are the bad days… Um, let me just say, no one wants to see me on the bad days. I feel frustrated, antsy, very impatient, and all because I couldn’t put together a great outfit. Isn’t it silly that we can have a bad day just because we become harassed by our own outfit combinations? Yes, unfortunately it is, though we don’t feel like laughing over it on a day like that. This is why whenever I go shopping for more clothes, I have to pay close attention to how the new items I pick out will fit into the rest of my wardrobe.
Now with the outfit I am wearing here, everything looks right. The colors are all neutral, and complement nicely; the darkest colors being on the bottom half, which is one rule I definitely like to follow. The skirt “accentuates the positive” (waist), while the high-low vest returns the favor by adding a sense of structure on top. Underneath, my blouse is roomy enough for lots of movement which is a bonus when doing household chores! Lastly this outfit would be perfect for going out and about, as well as for staying home all day.
Let me share a little secret about our dogs: anytime you choose to walk out the door and not take a tail wagging companion with you, they will quickly set you straight by a series of reprimanding growls, barks and unending door scratches. Aaagghhhh!!! *ahem* Enough noise to drive you insane. So guess what this little munchkin was up to in the photo? Yep. All of the above. Somehow, capturing the spurts of little doggy frustrations via the camera made our annoyed senses bubble over with laughter. And all was right. With the humans I mean. 😉
“Can I be wet ooouuut nooowww? Pease!?!”, says the little monster.
