Happy mid-week, everyone! Today we are rather thrilled to be introducing you all to a fabulous eye-wear company, Warby Parker; and their latest, limited-edtion collection “Palm Canyon“!
Warby Parker is an eyer-wear company offering boutique-quality, vintage-inspired prescription glasses and sunglasses, as an alternative to the bland, over-priced eye-wear market of today. Their latest collection, Palm Canyon, is inspired by an escape from the chills of winter to the sunny haven of Palm Springs, bringing to life the desert colors and luxurious atmosphere you might find there. Here’s what Warby Parker has to say about the collection:
“Just in time for a sunny, mid-winter getaway, we refreshed some of our best-loved frames–Winston, Duckworth, Preston, and Wheeler–in a Palm Springs palette of mesquite, acacia, ironwood, and sand.
Each frame features a hand-mixed acetate inset at the end piece. Designing and constructing these patterns required a technique that took over a year to perfect–and no two pairs are alike.”
We adore the sharp designs, vintage flair and overall fabulousness of all of the frames from the Palm Canyon Collection, but we hunkered down to just a few picks, which we’ll share below:
Brigid picked Preston in Red Canyon for its classy, tortoise shell frame, and timeless design, retaining the elegance and sophistication of what a 1950’s secretary would confidently don.
Jessica and Charlotte selected the Winston in Cognac Tortoise for the clean, simple design; lacking in the typical paraphernalia which typical sunglasses always seem to posses, nonetheless abounding in whimsy and character.
Our group pick is the Wheeler in Revolver Black. We are in love with the round, wide frame, and the mid-century elegance which this pair of sunglasses embodies.
