Hello Dearies! I’m so glad to finally be able to post again! This cold has been simply dreadful! I still only have a squeak of a voice, and a blighter of a cough, but at least you can’t catch it through the web. 🙂
I wanted to share with you all an outfit that I wore when we spent a little time antiquing in the quaint and homey shops of a cunning little town not too far from where we live. A few weeks ago of course!
Mom and Dad bought me a new hat for Christmas and I was SO excited to wear it on an outing, it’s definitely my new favorite accessory! Of course I had to wear it with my rust colored sweater and my favorite (OLD) denim skirt. Sadly these pieces are nearing the end of their rope, since the sweater has almost lost its stretch, and the skirt, well, it probably won’t last another season *sniff*.
I didn’t pick up much on this antiquing trip, since I had a specific type of item in mind. Just a few (alright, half a dozen or so) cards of buttons, and a picture of a girl in a garden from the early 1900’s. There were quite a few portraits and photographs from the 1900’s to the 1940’s to tempt me, but I decided to save my money.
Oh, on a completely different note, as some of you attentive people may have noticed in a few of the “life” photos Charlotte has put up here recently, I’ve picked up knitting! YAY! Mom and Dad got me a class from Craftsy called My First Sweater. I absolutely LOVE IT!!! I am almost finished with knitting the left front, and then I just have a few more steps to go. I’ll be sure to show you all the finished product, as long as it turns out. 😛
I just love how this last photo looks like one of those street fashion pics from the 1940’s! Charlotte did such a great job with these photos, didn’t she?
