Good day dearies! Thank you all for your encouraging comments on my Classy on Sunday! I think I’m now on the tipping point of being in the Holiday spirit, especially with the time of setting up the Christmas tree (my favorite part of Christmas set-up), coming nearer, and Christmas carols being sung ever more frequently in Church, as well as the anticipation of parties and fellowship with friends. Anyways, after last week’s yuletide ball gown inspiration, I’m sure you all are dying to know what I chose!
As evidenced by the above pictures, you all made up my mind to wear my floor length formal ensemble. But instead of wearing my peplum blouse, I am going to wear an outfit very similar to this:
Yuletide Ball Gown Ensemble by boyer-girls
After trying on my chiffon blouse (the ones we wore to holidazzle here) with the skirt, I discovered that the outfit worked, and thus I have come to a decision (currently ;P). I may change my mind as the event draws nearer, but so far I am planning on wearing: My formal skirt, with a chiffon blouse, and some comfy ballet flats (best things for dancing, I have found!). The whole ensemble reminds me rather of a 1900’s Gibson Girl look. Oh, and if you’re wondering “how on earth I am going to keep from tripping on my floor length skirt when I am wearing flats, and waltzing?” I am planning on adding a little loop of ribbon to hold on to, to keep my skirt up, such as those that used to be attached to the trains of women’s skirts in the 1870’s, etc. so they could dance without their trains dragging. I had hoped to find a picture to show you, but alas, nothing was readily available, so you’ll have to imagine it.
What Christmas festivities are coming your way soon?
Are you going to be attending a lot of parties or a few, or none at all?
What’s one of your families Christmas traditions?
