Thanks Alexandra! Be sure to give her a warm welcome in the comments, and follow along her gorgeous blog! xx
We are SO thrilled to welcome Alexandra of Into the Woods as a guest poster this week 🙂 We found her blog via the ModCloth Style Gallery, and have been in love with her gorgeously photographed, vintage-inspired outfits ever since. Looks like the DIY she has in store for you is extra fun and simple! Enjoy!
Hi there! I’m Alexandra, vintage personal style and DIY blogger from Into the Woods. I am super excited to be guest posting today here on Boyer Family Singers! This is a super simple, and fun DIY project that you can do with some vintage maps, washi tape and things from around the home!
– maps ( I found mine on Etsy for less than $3 )
– washi tape
– white cardstock
– a pencil and sharpie
– a frame
1. Using the sharpie, draw a heart shape ( you can also print one). Cut one of the shape and trace it onto a piece of card stock- be sure that it is centered. 2. Cut the traced shape out of the card stock. 3. Place map behind the cutout- tape it down from the backside of the card stock.
4. Frame in the shape with washi tape- you can use a ruler to help keep the lines straight.
5. You’re done! Pop it into a frame and you have a lovely piece of artwork to decorate your office space! You can play with different maps, washi tape, shapes, etc. The possibilities are endless!
