… As far as “Schoolgirl Chic” fashions go. I wasn’t even thinking, when we were scheduling out our posts last week, how similar in style and aesthetic my outfits were featured this past week (view my last post here.) Oh, and I have officially determined that I’m the type to lean more towards blues, greens and darks this Autumn and Winter. Why? Well, let’s just say that about 75% of my wardrobe right now is filled with dresses and separates in those shades of color in varying hues: navy, chambray, aqua, periwinkle, black, grey, etc. etc.
I sort of pushed out of my comfort zone when I selected this outfit as my Sunday attire last week. I’ve found myself veering away from the more “professional”, sharp and structured pieces like blazers and vests; though pencil skirts (which I consider to be in that category) are still an absolute MUST. It’s funny the way my style is continually changing. Last year I was all over infinity scarves and more modern/sophisticated looks; this year I still incorporate a few of those fashions, though I am predominately vintage inspired, with a hint of modern, boho accents; and if not that, then a mixture of boho + preppy, with a moderate portion of retro styles mixed in.
