How To: Gracefully Wear Black & Brown by boyer-girls featuring high heel shoes
Good day to you all! Today I am going to show how to deal with a classic fashion no-no: wearing black and brown together. Hopefully by the end of this post you will find confidence in sporting these lovely, practical hues together in the same outfit; and perhaps even consider using them in your choice of clothing for tomorrow’s ensemble!
Tip #1: Choose a background color
When pairing together black and brown, select one of them as a background color, and the other as an accent. By doing this, you won’t have them competing, but complementing each other through the accessories and other articles of clothing you choose.
Tip #2: Be Subtle
Try and be subtle in pairing these colors together. Maybe introduce a nice “inbetween-er” like a cream cardigan with the same undertones as your accent color. In your accessories try and tie in hints of the background color here and there to keep things together, and not mix-and-match.
Tip #3: Keep it Classy
Try and stay consistent in your styles of pieces. Say, for instance, you have a mid-century style sheath dress, like featured above. You would want to pair that with a classy handbag, and a timeless heel, and some feminine dangles. Keeping your over all aesthetic consistent will help in smoothing out the well-known wrinkles of the fashion no-no in discussion.
