Sometimes a girl needs a little “crazy” once in a while to boost the day– I like a smidgin of that here and there. Sometimes a girl needs to dress in neutrals to blend in with the season outside– this brings out my love for nature. And sometimes… I just want to do both, letting my imagination carry the decisions as I create a unique outfit. And so, one Fall day I wore a whimsical variety of fabrics, colors, and patterns.
We all enjoy the little things that make us tick like a well working clock. And isn’t it wonderful that God blesses us with these little pleasures to bring us joy? Its just a shame that I don’t work hard enough to take those little blessings of joy and convert them into a fuller expression of joy in which I can give and bless to my family. Ah. The battle with the flesh is ever an unending string of trials within, and errors that we recklessly let loose upon those who we love and cherish! Thanks be to God that He sent His only begotten Son to pay the penalty for our sins; our wicked flesh! May His voice ring loud and clear in our hearts that we might do His perfect will in love and kindness at all times!
One thing that I have found recently in the past year or so with my Fall/Winter wardrobe selection, is that I have a good number of knit Ts, and only a few blouses. Normally I will layer sweaters over my blouses. However, I discovered that I can neatly layer them with my knit Ts as well! And this outfit is one such example.
Yes! Its clog season too! And oh, how I. Love. My. Clogs. They were bought from the Hanna Anderson clothing company (who are pretty well known for their history of high-quality clogs), two years ago when they went on sale for a bargain price! Love those deals!
When we were little girls, our Mom & Dad would take us down-town Portland, Oregon (where we used to live, and that was quite a few years ago) where we as a family would go on a shopping spree for the Fall/Winter seasons. One store I remember distinctly stepping into was the very “child oriented” Hanna Anderson store. Oh the delights that hung on the walls! Oh, how fun the brightly colored dresses were to we little girls! And oh! How charmed we were by the funny mannequins! But best of all is the memory of Mom buying us the darling, noisy little wood and leather clogs! (We pretended we were little clip-clopping ponies every time we wore them!) The sweetness of childhood memories…
Here is an item we have discussed before on our blog! This darling, double-windowed locket is an Origami Owl locket, complete with charms of: a cogwheel, filigree cross, gold dove, my emerald birthstone, and champaign accent stone. Beside the locket are two tags. One states that I have graduated in the Class of 2013, and the other has my initial, J. Like I said, since we have reviewed Origami Owl Lockets on our blog before, I will not bore you with details that some of you might already know. However, here is a link for you to check out the Origami Owl lockets for yourselves. (We girls LOVE them!!!) Enjoy!
There were still one or two sweet red raspberries on our bushes when we had this photo shoot. Yum!
Sadly, I no longer have these snuggly warm, grey tights anymore! No. There time came just two weeks ago when I pulled them on and the elastic waistband gave way. Boohoo! They were my most favorite tights ever! Perhaps some of you ladies don’t share my appreciation for tights, but let me tell you, this girl loves ’em! I would be far too cold if I didn’t pull on a pair almost every single day of the cold months! And to who ever invented such a wonderful clothing item, I give you my sincerest thanks (even if you are deceased). 😉
Yes I still think of pony play when I wear these fun shoes. Why not dance over such childlike imaginings?
