Cheerio, Dearies! I hope you all are having a splentabulous Saturday! I certainly am: with an estate sale early this morning (more on that in another post), and an unexpected party this afternoon! Fun! Anyways, I thought I would share my outfit from last Sunday with you all.
So, for the Sunday that I wore this outfit, I played piano for Church. But this wasn’t just any old piano playing, no! In months past, our Church has had to make do with an electric keyboard, which, while very nice, just isn’t the same as a full blown, real piano. But, a few weeks ago, our Church was WONDERFULLY blessed with a 1920’s (so we believe) baby grand piano!!! And I was the first to play on it for service! It was such an exciting experience, and a real blessing from God.
So, for this outfit I wanted to wear something a little subdued, since I would be sitting up front playing piano, so that I wouldn’t draw too much attention to myself. This plaid skirt hadn’t been worn in a while, so I decided to pull it out and pair it with a blouse, and my new-to-me zip up sweater (which by the way has wool in it, and is not 100% acrylic. Yay!) The outfit was fine as it was, but it needed something to make it “pop” a little more. So Mom suggested that I wear her rose brooch. That perfectly completed the outfit, and I was set. I definitely think I will be wearing this skirt-sweater combination again sometime this winter.
