Hey, you know that season where all the leaves turn yellow and brown, and you get all bundled up and start to sew some warmer clothing *hem hem*? Oh yeah, that season… The one that somehow snuck up on us, and we’ll be in 3 feet of snow and wrapping Christmas presents before we know it! Okay, so maybe I’m getting a little ahead of myself here, but seriously, you guys! I know I’m going to miss that gorgeous time of year when everything looks so vibrant and, well, fall-ish; I just know it! And then I’ll be kicking myself ever afterward for being too caught up on the computer to take some photos of it…
The day we took these photos, our sycamore tree in the back yard had just shed its leaves, and I couldn’t help but think that those would make for a beautiful backdrop against my outfit. So after a few tweaks and additions to my ensemble, Brigid was out there with me taking some fabulous stills. I think I was in my natural habitat (other than the one down in Florida, by the beach…) out there amongst the leaves, with the camera on the perfect settings 😉
I wanted to get into the autumnal spirit, and display my take on the chunky/to-big-for-you sweater & skinny jeans look that I’ve seen all over the place (read: internet). I wanted a cozy/comfy look, and channeled my inner Laura Petrie (LOVE her style!) through my loafers, crops, and overall casualness.
I love how my purse matched the leather of my belt. I’ve been mixing and matching leather accents into my outfits lately, which I think will be a “trend” for me this season 🙂
