Summer is taking it’s exit this weekend, and the season of sweaters and colorful leaves is succeeding fast; bringing on a sort of nostalgic aura, at least for me, in looking back at what this Summer has brought… Festivals with friends, rich golden hours before late nightfalls, big balls of joy made up of spaghetti string zinnias, and those misty mornings anticipating the frosty cold ahead. One can’t help but desire a slideshow of stills put to Imagine Dragons’ lively tunes, to reminisce and soak up the last laughs before the times of hot evenings and summer dances have made their au revoir till next year.
This season has been anything but “normal” for us, I have to admit. SO MANY new things have happened to we girls that we have only dreamed about, and never thought would become reality. We’ve suffered from many spiritual growing pains, but we always come out right in the end. God has truly shown His amazing providence in our lives this past Summer…
Though it’s sad to see it leave, I’m so excited for colder weather… and cardigans 😉 I’ve been able to pull out a few this past week (yay!) and I’m only hoping the coolness is here to stay.
P.S- could somebody PLEASE give me a sewing nudge right now? My sewing machine and I are like two negative sides of a magnet… worse yet, my winter wardrobe is calling for some serious help!
