How are your flowers doing this time of year? Ours are still in a pretty productive state, although the graceful beauty of some are on the verge of extinguishment. Such flowers would be: the black eyed susan’s, coreopsis, phlox, foxgloves, queen anne’s lace, and many others besides. Actually, I can think of only one type of flower which has persisted in displaying it’s wealth of color – the Zinnia. However I will say that we have not invested time, nor money, into acquiring a wide range of long lasting Summer flowers. Thus our garden often comes to the point of shabbiness near the end of the season. Oh well. Perhaps next year will be different… Oh let it be different!
Dear me! Speaking of different, this bouquet looks very much like the ones I have posted previously! I do apologize if I have bored you all! It can be a real challenge to bring home a different looking bouquet each time I come home from working at Nellie’s! We always arrange the bouquets for her to bring to market, and sometimes we get a few that turn out similar to others that we have made. But don’t close this page yet! I might just have a few surprises up my sleeve…
Mostly zinnias, but I snuck in a few goodies! Can you see ’em?
And we find yet another ! The ever radiant dahlia. See, not so boring after all! 😉
So bright and full of color!
