Hello again dearies! Today I have a haul to share with you all!
Recently on Etsy I found a lot of 12 vintage fabric pieces, mostly from the 40’s and 50’s with some earlier and later eras thrown in. Now, I still had to pay a bit of a pretty penny for all these, but they are SO worth it! Take a look!
Some 50’s atomic printed nylon plisse (sort of like seersucker). This is one sheer fabric that is destined to be made into a blouse of sorts.
Some more 50’s plisse. Also sheer. I’m thinking a dress, for this material, unless Charlotte can convince me to make a petticoat out of it!
AAAAHHHHHH!!! This was the goldmine, aside from the rayon, of the bunch. Almost 7 yards of 35″ wide 1930’s printed cotton plaid!!! I am going to be making this into my dream fall dress. And I’ll give you a hint what it will look like: Picture a long sleeved shirtwaist style dress, with a hood. Yep! A hoodie dress. Goody!
Next, a scrap of clown printed cotton seersucker. Someday this will turn into something for some little person, but until then it’s going in my hope chest.
And this, was the third goldmine! Some red and blue striped white cotton from the 50’s. This is so going to be the material for my independence day dress for next year.
