…new beginning held within a cardboard shipping box… I’ll unpack you and see what magic you withhold… Over the next days, months, years, I’ll learn, discover, and master you… “Patience, patience. You can’t learn it all at once… You’ve only had it for a few days after all… Soak up the newness, the excitement, the enthrallment… this tool you’ve been saving up for is finally in your hands…. use it… learn it… master it….”
Those were the thoughts running through my head as I clicked the shutter of my new camera, a Canon Rebel T3. After months of debating, saving, researching… it’s in my hands. God has blessed me with this gift. By His grace I’ll use it, with open hands, to His glory. May His light shine through my lens.
I am so thankful for this opportunity to draw closer to Him and His world through this new beginning in my photography. I am so enthralled with excitement to learn more, and master this art.
By His grace I’ll learn patience, and that taking time to smell the roses is a good thing.
By His grace I’ll learn humility, and that I can’t know and grasp anything from the start.
By His grace I’ll learn contentment, and master what He has given me.
All those photos above ^ are unedited (except for a very few that I cropped), unlike all the other ones seen on the blog. I just thought it would be fun to have some raw, unaltered pictures on here… 🙂
One more thing:
Here’s a sneak peak to a photoshoot that me and my sisters did with this girl on Tuesday (in fact, the day I got my camera :D)
“Truly the light is sweet,
And it is pleasant for the eyes to behold the sun;
But if a man lives many years,
And rejoices in them all,
Yet let him remember the days of darkness.
For they will be many.
All that is coming is vanity.”
