I suppose that you might say that I like to try and “dress-up” normal, casual items for dressier wear… especially denim pieces 🙂 So of course, this weekend especially being one of those patriotic holidays in which you might go on a picnic after church, or a fellowship meal, I found that dolling up that every-day wear material, denim, would be a perfect COS inspiration board to put together to inspire you all!
For this “dressing-up denim” look, I paired a staple denim pencil with a loose, boldly printed top. One of my favorite things to do with not-so-fitted shirts and blouses is to belt them and create that ever-so-classy peplum look! I utilized that style here in this collage, with the woven belt echoing the espadrille effect of the wedges. Adding just the right amount of beads to an outfit can really give a dramatic effect, so play around with the pretty bangles in your stash! Oh, and don’t forget your daisy earrings 😉
Are you going to wear a denim skirt this Sunday?
