What really brought this ensemble together for me was the vintage touches… You see, utterly modern style is not exactly to my taste. However, when you pair it with something that rings as old-fashion–that’s when I’m drawn! I wanted to challenge myself too to put together something of a more contemporary fashion, and make it my style: vintage & simple. I’m happy with the result, I must say 🙂
I got the necklace yesterday at one of our favorite antique stores for a mere buck! Can’t get much better than that, folks 🙂 Yes, it’s plastic… (I’m hoping 60s!) but it brings across the look I’m trying to achieve, and I’ve been wanting a necklace like this for a while now. So of course, I simply couldn’t pass up a gem like that that fit right into my budget like a glove 😉
All right, all right, I’ll ‘fess up: despite it’s modern flair, this skirt does have a special place in my heart… I mean really, with something as long as that, with such a slimming and flattering silhouette, that twirls… what’s not to love? 😉

And now for a special unexpected treat… PHOTOBOMB!!!
That crazy person in the background? Oh, that’s my Dad 😀 Yes, he photobombed and gave us some laughs. It’s a good life, people, a good life…
