The weather is finally behaving, and thoughts of making dandelion jelly are mingling with various sewing projects and other ventures….
Wow, what a ramble! Okay, onto what this post is really about lol!

|err– rather random, pretty flower picture 🙂|
In this outfit, Brigid sports a very pretty, vibrant maxi skirt with a perfectly matching top. My, but she is getting a bit of use out of that cardigan!! Barefoot was the way to go for her yesterday, though she did slip on her TOMS when going to drop off our Aunt at the airport 🙂
What really strikes me about this ensemble is how complex and interesting it is, though such basic pieces construct it! Imagine the outfit without those bold prints and colors. What would it look like? A typical, every-day, boring cardigan+shirt+skirt outfit. But with the saturated pattern mixing, new life is breathed into the basics, without any extra effort!

Yesterday, I went for a very late 50s look, with the bold colors bringing in a bit of a modern vibe. I’ve been wanting to pair this cardigan with this dress for a while now, but have always been a little unsure on how it would look with how awkward and bulky the sleeves of the dress are under sweaters, etc. I am rather happy with the result, even if my upper arms did resemble bloated sausage casings a wee bit 😉
And now for day 10…
