While staring at the hangers of clothes in my closet this morning, I had a real craving for something radical, new, and very “hardy” looking. When selecting an outfit, I always start out by deciding which shirt, or skirt/sweater I really want to wear that day, then going from this starting foundation I can snatch up this and that, play around with a few new combos, and before long, I’m am dressed in something that looks great, and makes me feel like I can do anything for the rest of the day!
What are your strategies for finding exciting outfits to wear?

I have to elaborate on my two absolute favorite pieces in this outfit:
#1. The rugged orange vest has been one of the better “icing” buys in my whole entire collection of clothes; specifically, because I love the hue, and the cozy warm hood, but most of all because the clasps are – hands down – the coolest fasteners EVER!
#2. I am in love with these Landsend booties!! Now, I used to shy away from almost all slippers, but as I have grown older, and begun to notice more and more my horrible limb circulation, particularly in the region of my feet, I began to understand the usefulness of slippers. However, as you can observe in the photos up above, my slippers are a little extraordinary in that they are in-between Ugg booties and felted moccasins. There is a reason for that. I’ve tried the typical slippers, but time and again I became harassed at how easily they “slipped” off my feet (no pun intended.). So when the opportunity arrived and I was allowed to invest in a nice pair, I hunkered down at the computer, willing myself to find the perfect feet warmers. It took a while, but it was definitely worth the research!! And just about every day you will find me walking around the house in these wonderful knit/felt booties.
That’s all for now dear friends! Hope you all have a bit of Winter spirit left in you to keep the inspiration going!
