Happy Vernal Equinox! Or else, happy first day of Spring! Huzzah! Spring at last…
Celebration over- the weather here really does not make it feel like it is really the first day of Spring. No. The day sprung up bright and clear, cold and gusty. And even if the sun is shining, I will stay indoors and wish the warm weather in.
My outfit even displays our outdoor atmosphere a bit; as you can see, I have donned a lovely bright blouse of cream and peachy florals, well protected by one of my favorite 1940’s-ish red sweaters, complemented by my most beloved homemade checked, teared skirt. This is a favorite combination of mine, and keeps me quite comfy all day long!
If any of you – like me – have a hard time wearing blouses due to their “shiftiness”, I will tell you all a little secret that has kept me wearing them: I find that if the blouse is tucked under a pair of pantyhose, the shirt tails stay in place all day long, and I have the freedom to move around without having to worry about constantly tucking them back in all day long! Give it a try. However, if you stay far away from any sort of hosiery, then I can’t say there is any help for you. Besides hosiery isn’t all that bad, especially with the newer kinds available in most department stores now-a-days, they fit much better, and that tight little elastic waist band of torture is long gone, so there really isn’t a thing to complain about them any more! Give tights a chance too! You might be surprised!
