Soooo, today for the Sew Grateful week, we participants are supposed to write about why we are so grateful for the online sewing/blogging community.
I am a bit of a newbie to this whole online sewing world, even though I have been looking at most of the blogs that I do for about two years. I haven’t participated in a sew along (yet), haven’t followed very many online tutorials, but, without further ado, my (rather short, but hopefully sweet) “Sew Grateful” list:
1. I am so grateful that there is even such a thing as internet, otherwise I wouldn’t know half as much as I do about sewing, costume history, vintage fashion, practically anything about fashion! And plus, I wouldn’t know about all of you lovely readers!
2. I am so very grateful for the inspiration that I get from you bloggers of the sewing community! You are a great inspiration to me to make higher quality, more original garments for myself and others.
3. I am so glad there is such a thing as Pinterest, otherwise I would not have known about a certain sewalong I will be participating in in the coming month (hint, hint, look at the sidebar).
4. Thank you so much, Ms. Debi (hope you don’t mind me calling you that) for hosting this wonderful Sew Grateful Week! And for being an inspiration to all of us vintage sewing/fashion lovers with your 1940 McCall project.
Blessings on your day,
The Middle Sister and Singer
