So today, I have a surprise for you all! (this is the middle sister by the way). You all get to see a picture of me when I was little. I’m sure you all are either thinking, “aaahhh, how cute.” or, “come on, get on with the show already!” To those of you who are in the former camp, thank you, I do not think I was the most attractive child when I was younger, but everyone is entitled to their own sentiments. 🙂
And to those of you who are in the latter camp, I shall (get on with the show).
Last night, my older sister Jessica and I went to a Progressive Dinner that our homeschool friday school was hosting (if you don’t know what that is, ask someone who does). At the dessert house there was a white elephant gift exchange (do the same as mentioned above if you don’t know what this is), and I got a purple scarf that reminded me terribly of the boa that I wore in this picture here:
|I’m the one on the right if you can’t tell. And yes, Jessica and I have lipstick on.|
So, I decided to do a retake on how to wear a boa (scarf). So here’s my take on it 10 years later (I was about 5 when the above picture was taken):
|Scarf: Gift-Homeschool Progressive Dinner | Sweater: Thrifted | Skirt: Homemade by Mom
Socks: Target | Shoes: clearance at DSW
Yes, we do still have that table and chair set, and we even have the boas too! 🙂
I decided I would just treat my boa as it was in it’s natural state: as a scarf! So around the neck it went, somehow harmonizing with the red and black, and voila! My outfit for the day!
