60s meets 40s by boyer-girls featuring a black pencil skirt
Please forgive once again, lovely viewers, our impromptu blogging break! This week has been filled with sickness for all of our family; thus being not the most wonderful time for keeping up on the blog.
One of the things that I am fond of doing while cooped up in bed with a cold, is designing outfit collages on Polyvore. I threw this one together the other day, as an inspiration board for myself in styling those sharp red shoes seen up there, as I am expecting them to arrive any day now from ModCloth, along with many other day-after-Christmas-shopping goodies that my sisters and I purchased. Along came Sunday, no post having gone up the whole week (due to the afore mentioned sickness) and today foretelling (once again) no new content on the blog. Then I, remembering this appropriate board sitting quietly on our Polyvore account, snatched it right up, and here you go! I nice, simple, dressy, classy outfit perfect for wintery Sundays or a cozy New Years Eve party! Hope you enjoy 🙂
So this week’s inspiration is a collaboration of time periods: the 40s and 60s.
40s- tie front blouse, Cherry bauble earrings
Balance is found between the heels and earrings (both being red), and the white parts in the pattern of the skirt complement the light color of the blouse (I must admit however, that a white blouse might have looked a wee better 😉
So what do you think of this week’s board?
Were you inspired?
