So here’s my 2nd Classy on Sunday post to share with you all!
I’m really excited to show you all my outfit that I wore to Church today, being that it’s sporting one of my favorite finds from our Black Friday shopping spree to Goodwill this past Friday…
Can you tell which of the pieces is my favorite??
Yes, it is the vintage kilt!
I was so, so excited when I found it, typically the kilts that we do find (which is usually not that many) they either have stains on them, or some feature simply would not do- But then, I found this beauty!! (P.S- it was only about $2!) My mom, too, pointed out how the colors resemble those in the background: the water, grass, sky, etc. The designers of the tartan really had great taste, didn’t they, taking the hues of the beautiful scenery from the world around them.
Nature is truly the best pallet for us to go by when creating something, for God has lain it out all before us in beautiful ensembles illustrated in His creation!
I had a wonderful Sunday, striving to have the love of Christ shine through me to those whom I was around today.
We just finished the Botkin Ladies fabulous webinar on Reclaiming Beauty. Simply gorgeous, convicting, encouraging, a true source of strengthening for us in reclaiming the art and science of beauty that God has created and given to us to use to His glory!
It gave us a wonderful knowledge on how to use beauty in ourselves, through our clothing, make-up, hair, etc. all to the glory of God. One of their points was that we can only be beautiful if the love of Christ shines through us; that is true beauty.
Wonderfully convicting and encouraging, and something that I will store away in my heart and pray over, that I might have the countenance which shows forth the glory of my Lord and Savior.
Have a glorious evening!
Do any of you have an idea of what the tartan is on my kilt?
What’s your favorite part of my ensemble today?
(P.S- These are truly only my personal views of the Botkin Ladies’ webinar)
