Hello our dear and devoted readers!
A couple of weeks ago, I entered a contest hosted by ModCloth.com called the “Make the Cut Contest” where budding fashion designers could enter up to five designs, each having the chance of being produced on ModCloth, winning $500 and a version of their own produced winning design.
I entered four entries, and out of that four, I am completely honored, humbled, ecstatic, out-of-this world happy to announce that…
One of my Designs Actually Made It!!!
I am now officially one of the top twenty who have the chance of winning!
Now all that needs to happen is for me to be voted for on the ModCloth FaceBook Fan Page: and that’s where you come in…
In order for me to win, you’ll need to visit their FaceBook fan page between the dates of
October 25th through November 1st, and vote for Charlotte Boyer.
The person with the most votes will win and be announced on the ModCloth Blog 11/12 the winner will receive $500, their name on the tag as it appears on the FB page, and a version of their winning design.
Here’s my entry that made it through to the top twenty:
The Sailor’s Dream Skirt
Imagine yourself leaning on a ship’s cool iron railing, the pleasant sea breeze whipping
your hair about your face, the melting sunset in the distance shining in your eyes with
undying beauty. That’s what this skirt is inspired by. The fun little gores of silky golden
satin at the hem represents the sunset; the double placket front giving the aspect of the
nautical theme; the fun chevron print furnishing it with a quirky twist.
Closes with a double placket. Bottom gores are made of gold charmeuse satin fabric.

If you would vote, you’d have my heartfelt thanks!!
Do me a favor, vote! (for me)
