I made the girls new dresses recently. They needed a new set of “performance” dresses that compliment the season (yellow sun dresses just aren’t warm enough for the upcoming Holi-dazzle).
We got this pattern from Sense and Sensibility. Brigid was the first to sew her polka dot dress this summer. Jessica and Charlotte each took their turn trying on her dress and fell in love with it. We like that the pattern doesn’t take yards of fabric, it fits well and is easily altered in regards to sleeve and hem lengths as well as an SBA (small bust adjustments) or FBA (full bust adjustment). You can visit Elegant Musings, if you want the how-to for an SBA.
I REALLY like how the girls wore different style boots and accessories, kind of making it their own
and showing how versatile the design of the dress is.
Thanks Joanna for the wonderful photos!
