Recently, ever since my current machine’s bobbin went out of time, I have been searching for a new machine. I was thinking I was going to get a brand new ” big bucks” machine. But, apparently the Lord had another plan in store. And that “other plan” turned out to be getting a new-old machine instead of the stereotypical “brand new”, and in this case older was better than new.
A lady from our homeschool group sent out an ad that she was selling a cabinet machine, for $50! The picture looked like it was in good condition, and it sounded promising. So, we arranged a date to meet the lady and try out the machine. And… It works BE-A-U-TIFULLY! It took a bit to figure out how the stitch attachments work, but when I did, it was like watching some mechanism you had built, successfully doing what you had built it to do. So I bought the machine (with my own, hard earned cash), brought it home (after a grueling experience getting it down a narrow carpeted, thankfully, stairway with the help of my Mom), and now it is standing in our basement, waiting for my next sewing project.
So… without further ado, Ladies and gentlemen, I present my new-old Kenmore 90!
